Partial Solar Eclipse
I wasn't planning to shoot it so I didn't have my camera, but my son's school event was canceled, so we ran home and I grabbed gear and shot this from the backyard. This was somewhat after the max eclipse so perhaps not as full as it may have been.
I used the Hoya 9-stop ND and 1/8000th sec shutter.
OK, here's the bad part: it was so bright outside, I couldn't see my live view screen to focus and taking several test shots while bracketing focus was not working well, so I used my naked eye to look thru the viewfinder, just for a second or two, and focused manually with my Katz Eye screen. Nailed the focus but hammered my eyes. A bad idea and i don't recommend that obviously.
Lens is the F*300/4.5 on the Pentax K5, cropped heavily.
Probably a bunch of eclipse pics on flickr right about now, thanks for looking at mine. :)
