    made them from some cold cathode lights and some paint rollers!!! (and some battery's, wire, and lots of insulation tape!!!!!!!)

    so im thinking of using cathodes too. but do you still need to use the inverter that is connected to them?

    To be honest I'm not too sure, I think an inverter converts AC power to a DC power (or the other way around). I have used them with my tools because it wasn't too much trouble keeping them!!!! - Just needed a little more insulation tape!!!
