The last time (and only time) I was in Oregon was on my big camping trip out west, eight years ago. I learned within five minutes of entering the state that if you pronounce it Oregon, people look at you like you have Lobsters crawling out of your ears. It's Oregin! Damnit! OREGIN!!! Sorry I've dropped off of the planet for a few days. Jill and I arrived in Oregon a few days ago and parked our motorhomes at our friend Jenny's place. She has the most beautiful ranch in southern Oregon. There are Horses, Parrots, Chickens and these damn Roosters that never shut up! So... Anyway... I have been on a little side trip for the past several days, sleeping in the back of my truck. Went up the coast a little ways, then out to Crater Lake which I have never seen before. My brand new laptop computer conked out, so I have had no internet. Oregon is such a beautiful state! Unfortunately the company I shoot for doesn't cover anything north of California, so any time I spend here is basically, time off. So I did a very quick, whirlwind tour. This was shot in Bandon, at dusk. Shooting time exposures of waves is about 90% luck. I shot about 20 exposures of this scene. In the other 19, the water was just a boring, even blur. I just loved the streaky pattern in the water on this one.
