My ridiculous Mac Pro setup (my "Pixel Rig")
This is my "Early 2008 Mac Pro" with 2 Quad-Core Intel Xeon 3.2 ghz processors, 16gb Ram, 2.5 tb disk space (two 500gb disks striped for speed, 500gb boot disk, 1tb WD "green" disk for Time Machine backups), 30" cinema display, 24" and 20" dell monitors, dual NVidia GeForce 8800 GT video cards. The monitors and Mac Pro are plugged into a 1100watt UPS (which you can't see in the picture). I was asked for the picture, so here it is.
Also in the picture are my elderly 17" Mac Book Pro (1st generation intel), Xbox 360, and my Sony TV, where I've been watching the Olympics. Oh, and my iPhone (edge). :-)
Also, the picture on the wall behind the computer is a limited edition print signed by Kimi Räikkönen after he won the 2007 Formula 1 championship with Ferrari. I ordered this from Europe last year and paid way too much for it. :-P The print is called "Winner Take All" by the artist Nicholas Watts.
Anyway, this is my "Pixel Rig" and it's a real joy to work on. I do a lot of photography stuff (Lightroom and Photoshop, etc) and software development on it, so I pretty much use the crap out of it. :-)
