Low Approach to the Shuttle Landing Facility
Most pilots talk about runway 16R, but I think the most famous runway is NASA’s runway 33 at the Shuttle Landing Facility. This view came from a low approach in something far less interesting that the Space Shuttle (sorry Cessna. Can’t wait to see your 182 for spaceflight!), though the view is the same.
It makes me wonder “could I have landed the shuttle?” I have my doubts but it was fun to think about!
There is no way I would have done this flight without rodrakic and his company OpenAirplane.com since they made it so easy to rent this plane. Without him, I doubt I would have done this any time soon. Thanks Rod!
