Sweet photo! Have you gotten any pics out there when they're landing on the 1's? I hear it's pretty crazy when they do.

Yeah, I've heard it's a crazy approach, which is why they no longer do it -- there are no longer any published approach procedures for the 1's. I didn't live here before they stopped doing them unfortunately!

The trickiest procedure left at SFO is the 19 departure, which I've seen, but never in good enough weather to photograph.

I've heard that they still do them when the winds make using any other runway impossible, which apparently only happens like once a year. They just fly a visual approach. I heard they used them one day either 1or 2 weeks ago.

They still do. I have a recent capture of a UA 757 landing on 1. Unfortunately it is not a well composed shot.

@jordanD -- It's possible. The first weekend of the year, there was a nasty storm with some really abnormal winds. Basically shut down the airport.

@Sutanto -- I'd love to see it regardless of artistic merit! Do you have the date/time? If it was recent, it'd be cool to look it up in the archives to see what the clearance and conditions were.
