Underside of a B-1 bomber at Kingsville Naval Air Station. This is the most challenging HDR image I've ever processed. Processing info here:

I debated on how to handle the sky above the left landing gear. It's filled with smoke from a performance which frankly makes it look like lousy processing...thought about cloning that out altogether but decided to stick with the smoke.

Wow, fantastic shot! Great job on the HDR, and nice angle on the airplane.

      How'd you like the airshow?

Nice processing job! I'm envious of your air show visit. I've not been to one in years. Must try to find something local to visit this summer.

Wow, great shot! I can imagine how difficult the processing was. Really nice job!

I'm sure with only three or five shots you probably had to deal with halos everywhere... But well done and I don't mind the smoke - give context to the airshow but after reading the blog I know exactly what you are talking about with cloning in background stuff when people move. I too wouldn't have known it was handheld.

This is such an awesome shot. The POV and angle are great and very dramatic. The smoke looks fine. The detail in the bomber keeps me locked into the center of the frame anyway!

Very nice picture. Its cool how you can see the detail on the bottom of the plane. I have masked out parts of a moving flag before but I never tried a bunch of people. I can imagine it took some time.

Michael... Awesome...I read your blog and it sounds like you spent a lot of time and effort on this shot..it's very well finished. Keep up the good work...I'll be looking out for the next masterpiece! ;)

Wow, that thing is huge! Nice job on the processing.

This is great, and well worth the effort you put into the masking. In my opinion, the smoke over the left wheel is not an issue. You're at an air show, so those things are to be expected. Perfectly natural.

Really great. This is an example of a scene where HDR really makes sense and makes it better!
