Figueroa Street looking northwest, ca.1890
A view of Figueroa Street looking northwest in about 1890. A two-story Victorian-style house is visible to the left, followed further to the right by a one-story clapboard-sided home with a porch, to the left of which a windmill is situated. Figueroa itself stands to the right, a wide, unpaved road in which streetcar rails can be seen. It is bordered on the right (east side) by picket fencing. In the distance, the city can be seen along with mountains beyond the tree line that stretches from left to right behind the two houses. A utility pole stands in the lower center of the frame.
