Lens Flare HDR @ TT Minor, Capitol Hill, Seattle
A friend of mine is a 3d artist. He wanted "real" lens-flare for a project that he is working on, so we took a walk last night and I shot some pics of bright lights.
One of the series I shot was HDR (like, duh) and it ended up looking like this. This one is made from three exposures (4, 10 and 30 seconds each), shot at 17mm/f14. It was taken at TT Minor Park, which is on Capitol Hill in Seattle. If you look at the play structure in the middle you can see Candace standing there...being very still....in the cold....for a long, long time.
The thing to remember is that all of these colors are REALLY in the original photos. I didn't paint 'em in, or draw in lens flare or any of that bullshit. And, for that matter, I didn't take anything out, either....I just coaxed bunch of stuff that was below the threshold of perception into the visual realm where we can see it.
Trippy, eh? (More pics on my site at www.michaelholden.com/pics)
