Old Ruined Church

Wanted to try something different, in a bit of rut with my landscape stuff so fancied some light painting with my flash gun. First time I've done this so a bit of trial and error. Found this old ruined chuch which fitted the bill, was really spooky. Some bats were flying around too which added to the atmosphere. 4 exposures blended together using layer masks. Thanks to Joe for helping out lending an extra pair of hands and eyes. Was quite dark with just a hint of the last colours from the sunset behind the tree.

Was refreshing to try something new and not have to worry about the light, the tide, the sun, filters etc.

12mm, f/3.8, ISO 400, 30 secs

Strobist info:

SB-900 off camera manual flash gelled, 1/4 power for green, blue and frost gells and 1/32 power for red. Shutter operated via remote relase. Went for forst gel on wall as it was a full moon and half the wall was lit up anyway.
