Adams Apartments, Gil Chadwick Architect c. 1931

The influence of Moorish architecture is strongly evident in the Adams Apartments, a Spanish Mediterranean complex located at 4207-4209 Avocado Street in Los Feliz. The Moors, who conquered and occupied the Iberian Peninsula for nearly 800 years had an enormous impact on the culture, including the architecture, as noted in n the pointed arches and doorways and glazed tile details.
