Could it be haunted? Is that a ghost in the upstairs window?
This would probably look good on a Halloween card.
To make the image look like this was very simple. I manipulated it in Adobe Lightroom with some built-in development presets. First I applied a polarizer filter to it to darken the sky, and then I applied a preset called "dark sepia vignette" to give it a sort of ominous appearance.
The most amazing thing about Adobe Lightroom is that all changes or manipulations I make to an image are totally non-destructive. The changes are made to a "virtual copy". The original image remains intact. If I like the changes I made, I simply have to export the changed copy, but the original remains intact.
If you are a photographer and you don't have a copy of Adobe Lightroom, I urge you to get a copy. It is the best image asset management software package I have ever used, and it is very easy to understand.
I love doing stuff like this.
