Monument Valley, Arizona, USA
This is some gorgeous real estate in this valley. I was on the Arizona side of the border. This spectacular valley is an example of some of the beautiful scenery that the American Southwest has to offer. I could spend days at this location, doing nothing but photography.
On this day I couldn't do too much because I had my 80 year old mother with me, and I couldn't just abandon her in the car while I was out hiking around for hours doing photography. Besides, I would have probably been bitten by a rattlesnake.
Many American western movies were filmed in this valley. If you visit, you will feel as though you are in the old wild west days of America.
The valley is very vast. To get a better idea of its immensity, look at the large size. In the bottom right corner of this image you should see two tiny cars traveling along the road beneath the mountains, one white and the other dark. I didn't even realize they were in the photo when I took it. I was focused on the mountains, trying to get the composition I wanted for the shot. I guess the cars are an added bonus because they provide a reference as to the scale.
