Average cat to others. Eighteen year companion to me.

Taken 22nd August 2010. She is at least 18 years old. I am not sure of her age because I rescued her. She has been ill recently but now has her appetite back.

I have one I agonize over too. I woke up last year and stopped thinking of him as a young cat He's eleven how. No! More than half over-if I'm lucky! Took me about six months to stop tackling him, clutching him, bursting into tears and thinking morbid thoughts.

I was wasting precious time. I'm sure I don't need to tell you.

She looks so bright and happy. Give her a kiss and a tickle from me, won't you?

p.s. never discount the power of anchovies to stir an old cat's flagging appetite.

Thanks Melis for your comment. Sorry for the ridiculously slow response. She has been to the vet for a check up and they said she had a lump inside her: www.pictures-of-cats.org/do-you-put-a-19-year-cat-through...

Update: She died 23rd November 2011. It was 6 months of upset and anxiety beforehand and buckets of tears afterward. I have her ashes with me.
