GEMS Opening Night Drive-In Screening: THE BEE GEES: HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART
Last night, GEMS 2020 kicked off with a night of of music, nostalgia and disco as we celebrate the the East Coast premiere of The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. Musician Stephen Gibb, son of Bee Gees member Barry Gibb, was at Dezerland Park Drive-In to introduce this first ever authorized documentary on the band.

The night took place just one block east of the Brothers Gibb Boulevard in the City of North Miami. The street was named in 2005 in honor of the Bee Gees, who recorded numerous platinum albums and international best-selling singles at the world-famous Criteria Recording Studios situated on the Boulevard. Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime of the City of North Miami proclaimed Thursday, October 8, 2020 to be Miami Film Festival Day in honor of the Bee Gees.
