The Internet is not a newspaper

    Newer Older

    As you can see by the headline in the Ann Arbor News, our local paper will cease to exist in July. It's maddening and sad. What I get online is a supplement to, not a replacement for a newspaper. Blogged here: randomphoto.blogspot.com/2009/03/internet-is-not-my-newsp...

      You can read the News's own story about the closing (irony warning) in their online edition.

      Note the "news" filling 3/5 of their front page with a huge photo;

      print-n-staple the a2chronicle, and post it where the news was at the AADL?

      It's sad and frightening. Where will the money to pay reporters come from? Because online papers don't make money. What is reporting supposed to be now -- a hobby?
