Lightning strikes on the horizon during sunset near Putnam, Texas on Tuesday evening, May 2, 2006.
- So, I'm driving home from shooting a baseball game (see photo before this in photostream) and see all this really cool lighting in the distance, and then I notice the sun is setting too, so I pull off I-20 and find these trees framing up this field, so I pull my tripod out of the back of my car and start shooting long exposures for about 15 mins till I filled up my card. I called my editor up and said "Hey I got some lightning photos, I'll be there in 20mins." I get back to the office and our page designer had a horizontal hole for the other photog who was out looking for weather. Fortunatley, our AME loved the photo and ripped up the front page at 9:30 to run this huge.
