Lomograph 120 Film ISO 100 Is Shanghai GP3

Didn't realize that Toronto had a Lomography store on Queen west. They had 3 packs of ISO 100 MF film made in China for the low price of $10 including taxes. This turns out to be Shanghai GP3 identified by the edge code of "SGPFF"

It had a slight strange plastic smell when I was loading on to the developing reel. I haven't seen the punched hole near the end before. Also the sticky end of reel tape did not have any useful glue so make sure you have an elastic band in your pocket. Crappy low contrast printing on craft type paper backing. The red cover wrapping paper is actually 3 layers: red paper, foil and inner plastic.

I will let you know how it turns out. I hope better then the Kentmere film by ilford.

If the film works out I will be buysing some more which is more then I can say for anything else in the store.

See my Blog entry on using the film for more details about the film.
