Day of the Dead at the Met
Every autumn, skeletons march through the halls of The Metropolitan Museum of Art! The Museum will host festivities in honor of the Mexican celebration, the Day of the Dead. This all stems from the ancient indigenous peoples of Mexico, who believed that the souls of the dead return each year to visit with their living relatives - to eat, drink and be merry.
There is something for everyone at this all-day festival–from a movie and storytelling, to hands-on workshops, gallery talks and a performance.
