Titoy's Magical Chair / Ang Madyik Silya ni Titoy

Happy to finally be able to share this :) The build is based on "Ang Madyik Silya ni Titoy" / "Titoy's Magical Chair", a children's book by Adarna House Publishing.

It follows the story of Titoy and his friend as they explore Titoy's endless imagination with his wheelchair, not letting his lack of legs hinder him from being who he is and doing what he wants.

This build was for PHLUG - Philippine Lego Users Group's Kuwadro Kuwento contest which challenges builders to take an Adarna House book and create a LEGO build around it. My build of Titoy and his chair won the first place for the adult category and holds a special meaning to me as the book I selected was illustrated by my Brother-in-Law, Marcus Nada, a talented illustrator and fun guy.

Built on a 32x32 baseplate with a height limitation of up to 26 bricks / 10 inches tall. Wheelchair is removable from the base and Titoy (the person) is also removable and articulated for extra poseability.

This build will be displayed at Adarna House and various Fully Booked stores around Metro Manila.

July 13-19, 2019: Adarna House main office

July 20, 2019 onwards: Fully Booked stores around Metro Manila

For those interested in LEGO mech building, I also have an eBook from 2015 called Mech Wars 2015 Instructional Primer. It contains some things I wrote about basic mech building, a bit about my Mech Warsuniverse, and all my early models from 2014-2015. If you’re looking for a resource that could help you start or even improve your mech building skills, you might find this eBook useful.
