2012 MYC Graduation
Congratulations to the 2012 Mayor’s Youth Committee (MYC) graduates! Twenty-one juniors and seniors from Mesa high schools completed the rigorous program that began in September. MYC is made up of an elite group of students nominated by their school principals and counselors to participate in the competitive application process. Throughout the program, students learn the ins and outs of city government, research and present solutions to real City issues, attend monthly meetings and complete at least 30 hours of community service. This year, MYC surpassed the program standard and completed 1150 hours of community service valued at more than $23,000.
