Quiver Tree

This is our first Quiver Tree we've found in Namibia. Those kind of trees have be used by hunters to build quivers, sometime in the very past. In the background you'll see the rim of the Fish River Canyon - the second largest canyon in the world (derived by any of those measures like greatest fall, greatest depth, rim-to-rim distances or whatever). Well, at least all of our books had in common that the greatest one is the Grand Canyon in beautiful Arizona. (Taken with: Canon EOS 40D - 1/800 s, f/4.6, 65 mm, ISO 100)
