Washington DC Metro Silver Line Opening Day: The last test train
Washington DC's Silver Line opened for business at noon on July 26, 2014 with the departure from Wiehle Avenue Station of a train of invited guests. Westbound trains however continued to run as "test" trains and were not permitted to load passengers until the inaugural train had reached East Falls Church. This is the last of such trains pulling away from East Falls Church at 12.22 PM. The rear car is #2019 from the 1981-83 Breda batch.
