    funny, i thought it looked fine without the leaves, but it's very nice with them! I need a less abstract cross stitch, I think.

    Yeah, it's kind of hard to sew row after row without seeing something tangible come together. There's no payoff. That's tough about cross stitch in general, since I rarely have any interest in doing something practical with the finished piece.

    Mmm I love the bunnies. I have several samplers on my walls, but agree that there needs to be more payoff from the stitchery. Needlepointed pillows were a quickly passing fancy for me...

    I have two fancy needlepoint pillow kits I bought at Liberty in London, but I found working on them to be a real struggle. I just couldn't reach the "zone" that makes crafting fun. I'm more experienced now, though, so maybe I'll have a better time of it the next time I try.
