• square crop? - Thomas Hawk
  • Great composition. I am guessing you ran this through a channel mixer? Gaussian blur @ .5 or > pixel would clear up a bit of this noise. I only mention it because its a bit distraction. Great work though! - Bowman!

i like it. i think if you square crop this photo you will take away from the size if the pine tree. and i think its part of your master plan

r.delacruz80 if this is a vote in DMU, please make sure to reference the next "save" which would be save2 and add that tag to the photo.

Do NOT retaliate against my sharply derogatory comments with compliments. :)

a litle more sky over the tree would balance things better, overall nice though

i would've been more excited if this was called "a big pine tree on capital hill"... either you couldn't get closer to the white house or you really liked that tree. "delete4"

    Ian, remember your tags man!

I agree with TH. Square crop. Sky looks bandy nasty on my screen. Just so so for me.

a B&W shot of the W house that used to be gray but got blackened via fire and then repainted W only to have a B president put in?

I was going to suggest a better crop, but I do like that tree on the right.

You photographed a sensitive and potentially strategically important US Government building using a Japanese camera. Are you some kind of terrorist?

Were we there at the same time? The composition places too much importancce on the tree in the forground. The title places importance on the building. The contrast in the BW is beautifully done, however seams very dark (could be my monitor). Sorry. delete10
