Zararwadi Veil

In the tribal village of Zarawadi which is inhabited by Pathan Muslims. This woman had stitched her own bodice in the vibrant style common to people of this tribe.


Note that the walls are coated in gobar (cow dung) which is used through-out India as fuel and fertiliser. Here it is mixed with water to coat walls and floors which renders them warm in winter & cool in summer.
