Longwood Gardens at Night_01

This past weekend we went to see the exhibit "Light" at Longwood Gardens, which featured installations created by Bruce Munro. We had a fantastic time walking around the gardens after the usual closing times. The weather was perfect and even though it was crowded, everybody seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere.

As we were walking towards the main building, I noticed how bright the stars were. So having already taken a simliar shot to the one above in daylight, I knew that it could only get better at night with the stars included. I'm not brilliant at the whole astro photography style, but I thought that if I could just get a few stars to show up that it would make the shot more interesting.

As with the other shots taken that night, I used a small 1ft travel tripod and triggered the long exposures with my wireless remote.
