Stacked Rocks

Taken yesterday at one of my favorite spots near my house. Before going I stopped at the local photo shop and bought a new circular polarizer for my Nikon 35mm f/1.8G. I'm glad I did cause it allowed me to dial in the reflections and reduce the light to let me use a slower shutter speed. I was taking the usual shots of the water moving around the rocks but it just wasn't doing it for me. So I started stacking the rocks to create a more interesting image. By then the sun had come out a bit so to keep the slow shutter speed, I stood in front of the light and put my shadow over the rocks.
