Three Mexican Flags in a Stiff Breeze

Held aloft at the massive Chicago march and protest against H.R. 4437.

With between 100,000 and 500,000 participants, by some estimates this was the the largest protest in Chicago history.

Are you an idiot. This country was created by immigrants. Where do you think your fore fathers came from. If you think that foreigners should go back to their country, then you "Americans" should have packed up your shit a long ass time ago. Mexicans were in this country before any Europeans arrived in North America. If this country belongs to anyone it should belong to the Native Americans who were here before anyone even knew that North America existed. So how about you read up on some history and maybe you'll be a little less ignorant.

Fire Fighter: If you look through my photostream, there were both American and Mexican flags flown at the protext. These participants were proud of both 'nationalities.' I would like to think that we can have a more sophisticated underderstanding of identity and respect for blessings that people with their national differences bring to the ongoing American experiment than during the 19th century when schools and communities pursued an 'assimilation at any price' approach.
