Maj. Gen. James A. Adkins, the adjutant general of Maryland, thanked employees of the Comptroller of Maryland in Annapolis, Md., on Jan. 22, 2012, for their hard work in supporting Guardsmen during Super Storm Sandy. He presented his coin of excellence to them for ensuring prompt payment of more than 800 Guardsmen dispatched throughout the state assisting Marylanders during storm.
