Thanks to Bill W for suggesting this view. I hiked to this spot along the AT a couple weeks ago as a reconnaissance mission to return in the fall with the foliage. This is a 9 shot pano and was a real bitch to process. When I was here, within 5 seconds of standing still, I was surrounded by a swarm of gnats. I didn't realize it at the time, but there were so many they actually showed up in the photo, particularly in the sky as tiny streaks. It required a lot of cleaning and it still isn't that clean. I didn't stay too long because of that, and the sky was a bit hazy off in the distance taking away a bit from the mountainous landscape. I definitely look forward to returning in the fall. I love this time of year!
