Tchaikovsky Never Saw an Egret . . . . . .

.....or he'd have named his ballet "Egret Lake."

Great Egret - - - - - - ( Ardea alba aka Casmerodius albus )

Like a ballerina, she glides over the surface of the lake.

Lake Emerald, in Oakland Park, Florida -US- near Fort Lauderdale.

Shot from my balcony over the lake, late Wednesday afternoon, February 28, 2007 ( archives ).
