Sunset on the Dunnigan hills - California

I recently saw an image from Ivan that really caught my attention. With busy days that seem to pass like they're almost nothing, and my lack of motivation to make costal trips, I've been spending more time photographing trees. Well once I saw Ivan's recent tree image, I knew I had to make it out to this area soon. Ivan and I have talked about me coming up to shoot the rolling hills in the Dunnigan area, but as I said... Time seems to be passing by faster than I can comprehend.

Anyway... It was a nice afternoon touring around the rolling hills of wheat and grape vines with Ivan. Thanks buddy for showing me around!

By the way... The tree that we set out for is just a sliver outside the left edge of this image.

Some lovely shadow play here Steve and understated curvacious simplicity. The grass adds some textural quality to the rollingness. Lucky you had those few clouds in the distance. A very different take from Ivan's interpretations. Take care.

Very nice photo! I love the shapes, and your composition makes it look very desolate and mysterious.
