One Rincon Hill - San Francisco , California

No crazy hikes or running from storms to get this image. Just a quick ear popping elevator ride up to the 54th floor. Sometimes its nice to not have to battle the cold, rain, wind, and long drives. It would be nice if they turned the heater down in the lobby though.

Canon 5D Mark II - 17-40mm wide angle - B+W 10 stop solid ND filter and a 2 stop reverse ND grad.

I expected to see a super hero flying over this city as it looks amazingly "surreal".... the sky adds a nice soft nature like feel as its a nice contrast to all the man made cement, steel and glass.....
tones are perfect and its a beautiful shot.....

I know, whats with the heat in lobbys?????? It gives me sweater tongue! ;)

wow -- the tops of the buildings from the middle off to the far right looks almost like toy models. Maybe it is the way the light is hitting them. It is very surreal.... 54th floor is pretty high!!

Postcard perfect. Long ND exposures seem to clarify light and shadow nicely -- perhaps obvious in retrospect, but always a surprise when I see the result. Very little distortion with this body/lens combination also.

You should add somewhere: "Best viewed large"
Great job there! The landscape in the background really amazes me!
Not the typical view of SanFran which I personally like already but the quality is simply amazing! The best shot of SanFran IMHO!

This shot makes the city look so quiet. Good job on the long exposure.

Absolument divin ce cityscape ! Très bon usage des filtres qui donnent un maximum de contraste entre la ville et l' environnement naturel et marin qui l' entoure. Cela donne l' impression que les éléments se déchainent sur la ville.

      Bravo ! ☺
