the orchid igloo
South east Queensland received a dousing in the 2010/2011 rains and floods. These pictures remain of 10 great years of growing orchids in a sun-tropical paradise. Selections from the orchids grown in our orchid house in Noosa Queensland.

We erected a giant white igloo 'skin'. Wind-up sides. Plenty of air flow. Next added a 10 ton rock centered over a small man-made lagoon. A hole drilled through the rock created a small reticulating waterfall. Add 2000 orchids swinging in the breezeway to make a much discussed orchid venue.
