I glimpse eternity on Mockingbird and Greenville

This is a composite I took to show how I feel when I notice something like the moon in an otherwise mundane scene like a street corner. The moon makes a connection with eons gone by and right now as I'm seeing it.

I first shot the street corner scene. Then I went home and shot the moon with the same camera through a telescope. Then I put the 2 best shots in Photoshop and made separate layers for each. the messed with the size, position and layer rules for the desired effect. Kind of like a multiple exposure effect.

I like the idea. Makes me think this is how the moon sees us. Kind of a 3 point of view on things.

      this is really nice.
I didn't know you could shoot through a telescope - the moon texture is amazing!

Yeah there's lotsa ways to shoot through a telescope. I did the lazy afocal method. I just used a big eyepiece and held the camera up to it and messed with it until it looked in focus and did a few exposures.
