#35 Waiting....Again

    Newer Older

A big part of my weekday life revolves around the Tube, in particular the Metropolitan Line. The constant delays and waiting for information (often not forthcoming) is a real source of irritation and of boredom. It's one of the reasons I began taking photos of my daily commute. Today was just another day in the ongoing saga and it seems I'm not alone in my boredom.

bcg~art, grapfapan, -masru-, and 22 other people added this photo to their favorites.

But if it all went like clockwork, you wouldn't have the time to take all these images. You should suffer for your art :-)

Goodness this is wonderful. The whole feeling it evokes on its own is enhanced to no end by Greg's terrific story.

Thanks Nick - you're probably right :-) - Jody, radoznola and hexapetala. I was on my way to a workshop and running late (even though I'd left early) because of delays on the line. I never thought I'd hear myself say this but Thank you TFL. Without you this pic would never have existed :)

So much isolation in such a small space. Congratulations on the front page.

The composition, tones and placement of the three principal figures add up to a great shot.

This is a brilliant shot, and a take on the brief that many of us understand. Spending many bored hours on trains each week makes this a perfect shot for me too...

This is a brilliant shot, made even moreso by Greg's text. It almost takes on an air of Duane Michals. Faved it as soon as I saw it featured on the front page.
