Bird cake.

Simple 8" round cake w vanilla cream cheese frosting. All fondant decorations.
This was based on a plillow design that I saw in a wonderful nursery photo. (hence the fabric look :-) )
This one has a special spot in my heart as it was featured on my favorite blog.."Cake Wrecks" in the Sunday Sweets section.

    Thank you :-) The stitching effect is done using a fabric tracing wheel (looks like a small, jagged, pizza cutter) found in a fabric store.

    this cake is phenomenal! I LOVE it. Would you mind sharing how you did the crimping effect on the branch that the bird is standing on? thank you so much for posting this photo - it made me smile!

    Thank you for your generous compliment. :-)
    The crimping effect is made by using a crimped cardboard that came inside a chocolate box. I used it as an impression mat for fondant.
