Bearded Dragon: One More Time
Taken with my 100mm macro lens, I was happy with the detail on the baby bearded dragon, but he was completely covered by a fine dust of orange sand (the cage substrate). This image, only a week or so old, was sitting in my files until I saw the new Blink Again challenge, which is B&W or sepia.
So....this shot has a home at last!
I was almost given a fully grown bearded dragon on Saturday. I was at a reptile shop, looking for another tarantula. The shop didn't open for another minute, and there was a woman outside with large bearded dragon. She was giving it to the shop, since she didn't have time for it. I played with it. It wandered from my shoulder to the top of my head, happy as a reptile can be, I suppose. Did I want it? One look at Roger told me that I did not want the reptile (worth hundreds of dollars, BTW).
That little story is for SARhounds who thinks I take in every stray I see....not EVERY ONE, Jim :-)
