Follow the Creek
I didn't fall in the creek as I took this, thankfully.
Nature and the runoff water from the vast acres of prairie grass carved this creek out of a low spot in the terrain. If seen from above, you would know that there's no discernible pattern to its meandering path. That's one of the things that make them fascinating to me.
Just in the small stretch of the creek that I walked, there were a few sharp turns in the flow. The only way I was able to get this view was at one of those sharp turns. I was holding onto a tree with one hand and sticking my camera out over the creek with the other, hoping that the bank of earth so near the edge of the creek would hold up long enough for me to get my picture.
If the wind hadn't been so gusty, I would have been tempted to sit on the bank with my feet dangling over the edge, watching the water make it's way. That, will be a treat for another day.
