A new day in a new year.
The tree and landscape are familiar, as we pass by it most every Sunday afternoon on our way to Karen's parents for a few hours of conversation and visiting. We and they look forward to what has become part of our week's plan. At 85 years of age (or near it as I should say about my not yet 85 mother-in-law), they have a wide range of experiences to bring to any topic under discussion. Lively commentary on the events of the day, catching up on news of family and dear friends, and the occasional computer fixing on my part, are all part of the time well spent.
The sky was a deep blue, with the sparse dotting of clouds adding a nice dash of interest. I had my camera ready for this, my favorite tree along the route. All the ingredients aligned and I was able to capture this as we swiftly rolled past.
Something to look forward to. This tree and the changing of light and seasons, and our weekly gabfest.
