Underneath the Universe

A week before I was to begin my new job, I decided to do something I wouldn't have the time to do for a while. So I went on a last minute road trip with my roommate.

It was my first time to Oregon in over ten years and what we found was a place filled with such diverse beauty and so much more to offer than the no sales tax and mandatory gas attendants that had lured us down there...well, the cheap gas and beer to be perfectly honest.

With no real itinerary set other than Crater Lake National Park, we followed the weather up the coast. We saw a clear night in the forecast for the lake and went for it, reaching the parking lot just before dusk.

We loaded our bags and trekked under the stars for miles, stopping to camp just before Mt Watchmen. We set up our tent by the craters edge and enjoyed a night filled of photos and fireball for 'warmth' in this truly magical spot.
