dec 19th:

Assigment for my photography study .. Show the use of the Technical Camera's focal plane ajustment possibilities .. the Sheimpflug principle

 

This is shot at 4x5" fuji slide film

 

I see the focal plane as a cut in space .. Therefore I chose a knife cutting through a lemon whilst I aligned the focal plane with the knife ..

 

This was also a studio lighting excercise .. The front of the knife is lightened by using a mirror on the table .. I also used an extra light to create a shiny white tip on the top of the knife .. Notice the play between the gradients on top and side of the knife ..
