Lower Lilydale Falls, Tasmania

Yay, another waterfall! I actually found out about this one while having lunch at the Binalong Bay Cafe.

Don't you hate it when you're minding your own business having a lovely meal, then across the deck you see a familiar face...one that you know you've seen before, but buggered if you have any idea how you know them?

Well, after a few minutes of going through every possibility in my head, I checked out the Canon Australia website. Woohoo! Right there, in one of the video tutorials was the face. It was Chris Bray, a Canon Ambassador and amazing photographer! (Oh, I checked the Canon website because everyone at the table had Canon SLR's. Great hint ay?)

So back to my story. I checked his website and he was in the middle of conducting a photography 'Safari' of Tasmania. One of the locations they visited was Lilydale Falls, just north of Launceston. The best part was, it was on the way to the wineries we had planned to visit today. (Thankfully I took the shot before the tasting...and more tasting. Yum!)

Now that I've bored you all with an entire essay, I should probably talk about the actual shot. This is one of many...and I mean many, shots. I tried landscape, portrait, wide, close up, near and far. I'll post more eventually, as there are a few variations I like and ones I think I like.

Along with these falls, a couple of minutes further along the path is another waterfall. More on that another day :o)

Oh and while taking this shot, I had my first encounter with a leech. Exciting, I know! Lucky for me it was on my shirt.

Ok, I'm done for now. Happy Weekend Everyone!
