Paris View

Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, Paris, France


As much as I love Paris, it's got to be one of the flattest cities in the world which doesn't provide many cityscape vistas. But then the sun broke through the clouds while we stood in front of Sacre Coeur and I realised that a cityscape can be as much about the sky above as the city below. I love the three layers: colourful foreground buildings, misty distant towers and spires and the sky ripping open above.
