Parallel Paths

I thought it was neat how 3 of the airplanes flew such similar paths, I'm wondering if they flew the same path, just at different times, the spin of the earth causing the difference. (the space between paths) In other news, my electric heater does not stand up to dew. My camera and tripod were covered after being out for 2 or 3 hours. I guess I need more heat, though I've read that heat is bad for cameras, as it creates noise. I've also heard of telescopes being cooled below 0. (I think it's for the sensor that records light, but I'm not positive) I don't know if that's related, but it makes me think I should try to find the minimal amount of heat to do the job. Any thoughts or suggestions?
