So I said the next time you see a sparkler long exposure from me, you would find out what a crazy thing we are about to do as a family.

Opportunity called in a phone call from my brother in law Shane a few months ago regarding a job available early next year involving the current company I work with, with the same qualifications that I have in a small remote company town at the tip of Australia.

I made a call to the relevant people regarding the job contract and was offered the job. At the time I could not accept straight away as there were certain things we needed to sort first ( mortgage, financially viable, lifestyle, etc.)

The last outcome on our list came to fruition.

So, after months of careful planning myself, Darlene and Jessica will be relocating to the tropical Northern Territory Gove Peninsula (North East Arnhemland). A very small (very remote) community. The township of Nhulunbuy. (Google earth it!) We will be fully subsidised and have our house in Sydney paid off in 3 to 5 years! We never really have to come back! We are only ever 2 minutes from anywhere including the beach! We are situated right on the Arafurer Sea!

Afternoon walks on the beach with the dogs, Sunday breakfasts at the yaught club etc! Friggin awesome! We will be gone from three to five years depending on the contract term. During that time you will see some amazing shots from this part of the world I hope! I will always be online so send me a message whenever.

When we weigh up the pro's and con's about this opportunity, especially now, the only con's are some dear friends missed! Everything else blows my mind!!!

And hey Beth, No need to miss me! "I will be right here" as E.T. said!

Thankyou all my flickr friends and please wish us luck! I hope I can bring you some new places and adventures to enjoy!!!
