Lewisham High Street 1940's

Lewisham clock tower, probably in the late 1940's. The Co-Op building is still there. It became an indoor market and then a Witherspoons pub but is now closed. Chiesmans next door has been demolished and a huge police station has been built on the site. the clock tower has been moved to make room for road improvements. If you know Lewisham you'll know that was completely pointless
