Joshua Tree National Park, California

Quite a tall Joshua Tree stood on it's own in Joshua Tree National Park, California.

Taken whilst travelling the States with friends. This was a quick afternoon stop where we took some lunch and ate at JTNP with the rest of our tour group on the 'Ultimate California' tour by the company: 'Intrepid'. Was a fantastic tour and Joshua Tree National Park was stunning! Perfect for a Photographer. It was extremely hot though!

Shot with my Canon EOS 400D and Sigma 10-20mm Lens. Three bracketted images merged and tonemapped in Photomatix Pro.

I don't usually like images where the subject either isn't central or following the Rule of Thirds, however I feel this works quite well. It's different. Do let me know what you think! : )
