Bath Weir, by Mat
Bath is arguably the most beautiful city in England, and central to it is the river Avon, and this stunning weir.
Ever since I got my 10 stop ND filter, I've been dying to do a long-exposure image of the weir, and today I drove 200 miles each way to do so!
I'm really pleased with the result. Here I've combined two 30 second exposures into a small panorama, to capture the whole of the weir. I love the way the long exposure emphasises the movement in the water.
I spent ages sitting up on the wall with my tripod, disturbed every now and then by tourists asking me to take photos of them with their camera phones!
